| Microsoft organized a "social event" for it's Dutch
partners the day before Fusion 2002 started. At 06:45 the bus departed from the hotel in downtown Los Angeles to Long Beach. After a short break for breakfast we boarded the vessel to Catalina island. After a tour through the underwater world of Catalina and a well deserved lunch near the beach, we could choose to round part of the island by kayak (which most people including me chose to do), get bored and play some golf or... ride a bike to explore a limited part of the island (Wim did, interesting choice!). A private boat brought us back to the mainland while we enjoyed dinner and had a few drinks (others choose to fed the dolphins with pre-chewed food). We arrived back at the hotel around midnight. A perfect start of Fusion 2002, thanks Sjoerd and Wim @ Microsoft! |
